Given the location, the food was really good. The museum can be over crowded and loud. It was lovely to retreat to this quiet place and enjoy a nice meal.

Grabbed lunch at The Met Dining Room during my museum visit, and I've got to say - the 4th floor spot really adds something special to a day at the Met. The dining room has this great mix of old-school charm with modern touches, and wow, those views! I happened to be there on a beautiful day, which made looking out the windows even more spectacular. I ordered their Met Burger with truffle fries. While the food was good, it's really the whole experience that makes this place worth visiting. The staff was super attentive, and I loved how uncrowded it was - gave me a peaceful break from exploring the galleries. There's just something really nice about sitting up there above all the museum buzz, taking your time with lunch and just soaking in the atmosphere. If you're spending the day at the Met, it's a perfect spot to catch your breath and relax. Kind of felt like I'd discovered a quiet little retreat within this huge museum. Nice change of pace from the usual museum cafe scene!

It's one of our favorite spots for a decadent lunch in the city! View of Central Park...nice new decor and fabulous food and service. A real treat! Evelyn was a superb server, gave great recommendations and never hurried us along. There were six of us and we sampled every course. Even started with cocktails and ended with desserts and coffees.

Enjoyed the meal. Nice service and a good menu. Very convenient location considering the amount of time one spends in the museum.

Amazing service! The food was delicious. We ordered basics and they came out great. We had brunch. Lovely setting during the day. I would return!

This is a beautiful restaurant located on the 4th floor of the Met. It was very easy for me to make a reservation and the servers were extremely kind and attentive with refilling our water. The location is only accessible by elevator and can be a bit hard to get to but the museum staff were all so kinda and helped guide us to where we needed to go. I got the Cauliflower Steak and Maitake Mushrooms which I really loved! I am currently on a mission to be vegetarian for 2 weeks and surprisingly really loved this dish, but it was slightly on the salty side. I would highly recommend it for both vegetarians and those who aren't vegetarian! As for the other dishes ordered at my table, we ordered the salmon, lobster spaghetti, and the grilled short ribs.

Nice restaurant in MET. We were able to dine in even without being a member. No wait when we came in on a Monday lunch. Everything were good. Veloute' in ravioli iwas creamy, crab cake was firm and did not have too much extenders, cod is tender and flaky. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Nicole, what an amazing server you are. Your professionalism, friendliness and goal to make us happy was truly appreciated. Your knowledge of menu was very helpful and we will come back hoping to see you again. The food was delicious and drinks were true to New York's reputation for good food and drink. The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful lighting and views. We will be back.

Delicious food in a beautiful setting, within a museum full of treasures. We did not have reservations and managed to get in by arriving as soon as the restaurant opened for dinner at 5pm. Next time it'll be great to reserve so that we can get seats right by the windows to see the NYC excitement below. We started with a peach salad and concluded with an espresso and dessert. See pictures for restaurant and meals we had. We had 5 in our party. The staff was friendly and very attentive.
